What is TasteGraph?
TasteGraph is a personal taste engine. It learns why you like movies, TV shows, books, and games, builds those patterns into Taste DNA, and recommends new things based on the underlying traits.
Can one app recommend movies, books, and games?
Yes. TasteGraph keeps movies, TV, books, and games in one taste profile. That lets a quality you loved in one medium inform recommendations in another.
How does TasteGraph learn my taste?
You rate things you love. TasteGraph looks for recurring themes, tone, pacing, character types, emotional qualities, and narrative structures. More ratings can strengthen, refine, or complicate those patterns.
What is Taste DNA?
Taste DNA is the plain-English profile made from those recurring patterns. It might include slow-burn pacing, nonlinear reveals, moral ambiguity, or melancholy with warmth, along with the exceptions that make your version of that trait specific.
Are recommendations based on genre?
Genre is one useful signal, but it is not the main explanation. TasteGraph goes deeper into what happens inside the work and how it feels: tone, pacing, themes, characters, structure, and emotional qualities.
Can TasteGraph recommend a book based on a movie I liked?
Yes. If the movie and book share traits that fit your Taste DNA, a movie rating can help surface the book. The connection comes from the underlying qualities, not from treating the title as the same format.
Can TasteGraph recommend a game based on a TV show?
Yes. A show's themes, character dynamics, tone, or worldbuilding can connect to a game with the same qualities. For games, TasteGraph can also account for how the game plays.
How are TasteGraph recommendations different from “people who liked X also liked Y”?
“People who liked X also liked Y” starts with other people's behavior. TasteGraph starts with the recurring traits in your own ratings, then explains which of those traits support each recommendation.
Does TasteGraph support movies, TV, books, and games?
Yes. All four belong to the same Taste DNA profile and cross-media recommendation system.
